Endeavour Alumni

The Endeavour Awards Alumni Network is an exciting initiative to support and promote the furthering of important relationships built by Endeavour Award Holders during their Award period.

The Endeavour Awards Alumni Network will promote ongoing understanding, cooperation and research amongst its membership base and significantly increase networking opportunities for its members on a global scale.

Alumni Network initiatives will facilitate ongoing professional development opportunities for members, raising the profile of the Endeavour Awards, and in turn, the Alumni themselves.

Being a member will mean participation in a global community of high-achieving individuals, accessing the activities, events, contacts and benefits offered by the Endeavour Awards Alumni Network.

Every Endeavour Award holder, who completes their Award successfully, automatically becomes a part of the Endeavour Awards Alumni Network.

Previous events

To coincide with the opening of applications for the 2009 round of Endeavour Awards, a series of seminars were delivered in each capital city in Australia for representatives of home and host organisations as well as other interested organisations and individuals. At the same time, DEEWR hosted a function for our alumni and award holders, together wit other invited guests. These were a wonderful opportunity for the award holders and alumni to meet with each other, and with the Endeavour Awards team. Below are some photos of the events.

Ranjeeta Buti (India) - 2007 Endeavour Executive Award

Ranjeeta Buti undertook an Endeavour Executive Award in 2007. She was working at The Energy and Resources Institute in New Delhi and was nominated for an Executive Award to diversify her knowledge and facilitate partnerships in environmental education.

Ranjeeta spent 3 months within the Australian Research Institute in Education for Sustainable Development based at the Macquarie University in Sydney.  As a part of her research, she had the opportunity to interact with a number of leading experts in the field of environmental education, based in Sydney, Canberra and Adelaide. She was also able to participate in a number of strategic planning workshops.

“My colleagues in Sydney were able to learn about the work undertaken by my organisation in India. A collaborative program is in the pipeline which would involve both organisations with support from Government bodies”.

Of her Endeavour Award, Ranjeeta says “overall it was an enriching experience; it has been of great mutual benefit to all concerned. This is a unique opportunity to learn and exchange different perspectives and approaches in different cultures”.
